Andrea Ravo Mattoni: four years of AI in one video
With the artist Andrea Ravo Mattoni we made a 38-second vertical video. The message is his: he has been working with artificial intelligence for four years, and it is only the beginning.
A bench on a tennis court
The video opens on a close-up of Ravo. Then we see him sitting on a white bench on an abandoned clay tennis court, with weeds growing over the lines and palm trees behind the fence. This part is real footage.

The years go by
A counter runs across the screen, starting from 2022 and moving forward. With each jump the AI adds something around him: hooded figures and men in tactical gear, smoke, a man in a hard hat digging holes in the court, a woman walking a dog with a lion's mane. From that point on Ravo stays seated on the bench.
Before and after
There is also a split-screen version of the video: the original footage on the left, the same shots after the AI work on the right. The comparison shows how much of the final scene was added after filming.
The message
The video ends on black with the line “Quattro anni di AI, ed è solo l'inizio”: four years of AI, and it is only the beginning. It is Ravo's point of view, after four years of working with artificial intelligence.
