Anniversaries
Monava: eighty years of a company and eighty years of Italy
For Monava's 80th anniversary we made the longest video in our history. It tells the story of a transport company and, alongside it, eighty years of Italy.

A parallel
Monava has been moving goods and connecting Italy for eighty years. The voiceover starts there: by connecting the country, the company followed its history too. We built the film on that parallel.
Watch the video
On one side there is Italy: the post-war years, reconstruction, the technological changes of the decades that followed. On the other there is Monava growing: from lorries to planes, all the way to ships.
Archive and reconstruction
The company gave us access to its archive: historic photographs, documents, the headquarters changing over the decades. A large part of the film is made from this material, and the work was one of choosing: understanding which photos really tell eighty years.
Many scenes, on the other hand, we rebuilt ourselves with artificial intelligence. Sometimes we started from an archive photo and brought it to life or completed it. Other times we started from scratch.
The same tone from black and white to today
Putting historic photos, documents and rebuilt scenes together risked a film in pieces. Before editing we did a lot of research on image, composition and photography, to keep the same tone from the black-and-white images to the aerial view of today's operations centre.
The reaction
It is a delicate film, and for us one of the most moving. After seeing it, Monava wrote to us: “We were moved.”
- Timing: about 1 month
- The company's archive material and scenes rebuilt with artificial intelligence
- Voiceover and narrative edit
Telling a story that spans decades
For a company with a long history the archive is precious: photos, documents, images of the headquarters over time. Our job is to choose and put things in order, and to rebuild the missing scenes with artificial intelligence.
A parallel like the one between Monava and Italy helps viewers make sense of the decades. The length of the video depends on the story and on where it will be shown.
For anniversaries and company stories, our method is on the corporate videos page.
