NNZN Glitch 0001: a film about loss, with an animal made of light
Glitch is NNZN Studios' second format. Signal tells stories, Glitch interrupts them: it is a deliberate error in the flow of our videos. The first episode is also the most personal one we have made.

What Glitch is
In client videos we follow a brief, an audience, a message. Glitch is the space where we remove all that. It is a conceptual experiment, with no client, that we use to try images, rhythms and edits that sometimes end up in our brand work too.

Where it comes from
Glitch 0001 comes from one of Luca's memories: the loss of an animal. The film tries to put those moments back into images, the way he lived them.
It begins in the forest, with the search. A breathless search, the kind that takes your breath away because the animal cannot be found. You look around and everything is blurred, because in those moments you are not thinking clearly. That is why many shots are deliberately out of focus.
Then the news arrives. Two people hold the animal in their arms, and it is made of light, because it is no longer here.
The ritual
The last part draws on South American rites of passage. The forest is the same, but now there is a fire, and around it people dance and sing to remember the animal. There are backlit flowers, a painted face, flames.
Format and making
The film lasts about a minute and is in 2.39:1, the cinema format. It is generated with artificial intelligence. It is a painful video, and one of those we care about most.

What we try out in our formats often ends up in our brand work. We talk about it on the creative direction page.
