Regenera SPA: one continuous shot through a mountain spa for Valera

For Regenera AI, Valera's hair dryer, we made a video that moves through a mountain spa in a single camera move. It was a technical experiment, and it worked.

From the name to the place

Regenera AI is a Valera hair dryer, Swiss Made. The name says it regenerates hair: health and beauty together, and from there it is a short step to wellbeing. Wellbeing took us to a spa, and that is where we set the video.

Watch the video

One single movement

The video is one continuous shot, with no cuts. The camera starts at the outdoor hot tubs, with snowy mountains behind, goes into the massage room, reaches the massage table and from there moves to the product, down to the detail of the hair.

How to build a one-shot with AI

Video generators produce short clips. To get a continuous movement we worked with start frames and end frames: the last frame of each clip becomes the first of the next. Clip after clip, the camera movement never breaks. It takes a lot of patience, because a single detail changing between two clips is enough to break the illusion.

Product and atmosphere

The video joins two parts. The product is shown as it is, with its shape and materials. The spa's atmosphere, the water, the lights and the rooms are generated with artificial intelligence.

  • Client: Valera
  • One continuous shot built with start and end frames
  • Real product and environments generated with artificial intelligence

The real product inside a generated world

When the product has to stay identical to the original, we keep it separate from the generated parts. Artificial intelligence creates the atmosphere, places and people, and the product stays the real one.

A one-shot built with start and end frames takes longer than a classic edit, because every handover between two clips has to be checked. In return it gives a continuous movement, right for a product about wellbeing.

The other videos we made for Valera are in the article on the Vanitycare AI and Hydra 3D videos. For product videos, our method is on the commercials page.
